Facet Yarn Turban Headband – Crochet Pattern
Setup: Hold two strands of Facet yarn together throughout the project. Chain 50. Join with a slip stitch to form a ring, taking care not to twist the chain.
Round 1 (Base Round): Chain 1. Single crochet in the back loop only of each stitch all the way around. Slip stitch into the chain-1 from the start of the round. Turn.
Round 2 (Suzette Stitch Begins): Chain 1. In the first stitch, work one single crochet and one double crochet in the same stitch. Skip one stitch. In the next stitch, work one single crochet and one double crochet. Skip one stitch. Repeat this sequence of sc, dc, skip one stitch all the way around. Slip stitch into the same chain-1 space from Round 1. Turn.
Rounds 3 and onward: Repeat Round 2, always slip stitching into the same chain-1 space at the end of each round. This consistent join point creates the turban-style gathered twist. Continue until the headband reaches your desired width.
Finish: Fasten off and weave in all ends.
